The Army's Installation Geographic Information and Services (IGI&S) Program has recently established a centralized Data Repository to support the needs of the Army and its users as part of its Army Mapper enterprise GIS. Requirements to support the Enterprise data management include a data architecture incorporating multiple database environments and a data standardization process to assess and format all data in SDSFIE Version 2.600. The data, which is secured with permissions-based access using AKO and CAC authentication, is accessed via a connection through Citrix. This presentation will provide an overview of the Army Mapper Enterprise Database, discuss the data architecture and outline the advantages and challenges of the data standardization process.
