JUgong GIS operated by Korea Housing Corporation (KHC) is built to provide spatial information related to housing & urban for better housing planning process. As a government-invested organization responsible for national rental housing management and new town construction, KHC has been required to be more strategically in making decision process. GIS is a unique solution that helps KHC overcome the following challenges: dynamic support of urban & housing policies being changed, scientific & statistical analysis, and creation of spatial database. The functionality of system includes serving base & thematic maps, satellite imagery and statistical data. Based on these resources, the system supports to plan new town development and to decide candidate sites. Also, search tool is provided so that users can find their houses on the map. KHC is enabled to support tenants & housing management more efficiently. Their workflow for public service became more seamless and competitive.
