Abstract ArcGIS 9.2 Server Sharepoint 2007 Solution for City of Houston Track: Water, Wastewater, and Stormwater Author(s): Raj Shah At the City of Houston, stormwater incident and quality information used to be collected by up to fifteen separate departments, including Police, Health, Landfill Monitoring, Solid Waste, etc., without the benefit of modern collaboration tools. The City decided to create a groundbreaking tool to manage water quality and outfall incidents called Stormwater Quality Management Information System (SWQMIS). The tool is a collaborative, map driven portal solution for all of the departments to support the collection, collaboration, workflow and reporting of stormwater data and processes. The solution utilizes Microsoft's industry standard portal, Microsoft Office Sharepoint Server 2007 as the underlying collaboration tool, supporting document management, workflow and communication. The solution also imbeds an ArcGIS Server 9.2 Web Part into the portal, utilizing advanced geocoding, and spatially enabled document management.
