Data is the foundation for any successful mapping project. The Quality Assurance Quality Control Plan sets expectations for data quality standards, and describes methods and procedures for measuring data against those standards. This paper talks about the Quality Assurance plan and Quality Control procedures using ArcGIS. Loudoun County has a well-designed Quality Assurance plan and Quality Control procedures to ensure a reliable foundation of the GIS and Raster data. QC tools and workflows are organized to make the best use of time, tools, and people.
