AbstractConflate or Die—Insourcing for a Stronger Enterprise Track: Database Design, Automation, and Management Author(s): Garrett Dunwoody Integrated and topologically coincident data provide the underpinnings to strong enterprise geospatial data management. Historically, feature registration processes have been outsourced; however, current trends in data management and availability of software allow for most feature registration processes to be performed in house by the data steward. As a result, the data owner has a strong hand in the quality of the data throughout the conversion process. This is vital to building strong enterprise relationships focused on data stewardship, metadata management and topologically enabled data that uses spatial relationships as business rules to ensure the quality of datasets. This presentation will focus on how San Mateo County manages these workflows and principles now and in the future utilizing a multiplatform environment.
