Anchorage Water and Wastewater: GIS Upgrade Project Implementation

Anchorage Water and Wastewater staff will discuss how they built a new enterprise GIS based upon the Esri Water and Sewer model. They will talk about how they implemented this new model in a new editing geodatabase and how they integrated this geodatabase to other systems such as Work Management, CCTV, Financial Asset Management Systems, and a legacy Geodatabase. They will discuss how they chose software to integrate the new geodatabase to other systems and the process that they went through to spatially enable their work management system. They will summarize how this new editing geodatabase has resulted in cost savings and streamlined business processes by reducing duplicate data entry and improving data quality.
