The State of New Jersey has required all Counties to submit a comprehensive Wastewater Management Plan in early 2009. This will replace previous plans prepared by Municipalities and wastewater authorities. GIS has become more prominent in the world of planning and the GIS effort in this plan is a prime example. The plan includes a nitrate dilution analysis, an antidegradation analysis, and a build out analysis of each of the non-sewered municipalities resulting in more than 70 maps. This presentation will review the process of the GIS analysis, from compiling and creating data, to running the models required to complete the analysis.
