Author(s): Jeff Eisman

Samaritans Purse International Relief provides aid to those affected by disasters internationally as well as in the United States. The presentation will show how GIS is used in our North American Disaster relief as they respond to disasters. GIS is able to help with staging site selection, disaster monitoring, field assessment to help efficiently allocate resources to help as many people as possible. GIS has helped Samaritan’s Purse respond quicker in a disaster situation by providing relevant information to decision makers.
