AbstractGeostatistical Analysis of Radiological Concentrations in Soils at Idaho National Lab Track: Environmental Management Author(s): Chris Oertel, John Giles The Idaho National Laboratory is required to monitor Cs-137 concentrations in soils as part of an overall environmental monitoring program. The site covers a large area (900 sqauare miles) so geostatistical techniques are used to combine measured values and spatial dependence to generate prediction and probability surfaces. Novel techniques to decluster grouped sampling points will be presented along with results from several seasons of measurments. Use of ArcGIS in production of prediction and probability maps will be shown.
