AbstractExtending Script Tools with Python Libraries Track: Application Development Author(s): James Tedrick Most ModelBuilder and Python script tools by default return some form of data, whether it is a table, feature class or selection set. Many times, casual GIS users want a report from an analysis rather than data. By using built-in and third party libraries, the M-NCPPC has extended our script tools to provide these types of reports. These include libraries to e-mail information, request map images from ArcGIS server, compile complete maps from several images and export to Acrobat (PDF) or Excel (XLS) files. This presentation will identify these libraries, show their usage within a script and how these scripts are used within the ArcGIS Server environment.
