Designing and implementing a sound GIS infrastructure is vital to the success of all GIS projects. It was especially crucial in the implementation of The City of Cleveland’s Enterprise GIS. This presentation will discuss the challenges and constraints faced by the design and implementation teams, the technical design of the system architecture and infrastructure, including the use of virtualization technology and provide an overview of the vast array of software, hardware and data that encompasses the City of Cleveland’s Enterprise GIS.
