The intent of this application was to reduce paper and improve efficiency in government. ZULU is a web based program that streamlines the intake of applications for zoning and land use changes by enabling applicants to upload GIS data directly to SDE. The flow is managed by users and administrators to track any changes and follow through with updates. This capability enables users to download desired polygons from production feature class, and upload modified data to the working environment. The program validates spatial references and data integrity prior to committing to the upload process. The end result are updated production layers that otherwise required two dedicated resources to maintain and compile.
