AbstractCreating a Lean Green GIS Machine Track: Facilities Management Author(s): Robert Welch Lansing Community College in Lansing, Michigan, offers a two year associates degree in GIS and geospatial technologies. The program started in 1986 and is the oldest running program in the United States. The program and many other related programs have moved into a large new technology campus with plenty of room to grow. The campus created as a GREEN campus is geothermally heated and cooled and offers many GREEN programs such as Associates degrees in Landscape Architecture, Horticulture, Precision Agriculture and Alternative and Renewable Energy Engineering.How can the use of GIS and other Geospatial Technologies be integrated into these and other related programs to help you make your campus green and more sustainable.Students learn the latest technologies on tools they are very familiar with and help turn their campus green.
