AbstractGeostatistical Analysis on Forest Fire Related to Spatio-temporal and Human Factors Track: Forestry, Wildlife, and Fisheries Management Author(s): Sang-Chul Lee, Myung-Bo Lee, Myung-Soo Won, Si-Young Lee, Hanbin Kwak, Woo Kyun Lee, Kyo-Sang Koo Because of climate characteristic, there is no natural fire ignition in Korea. According to the past records, it was reported that all of forest fire in Korea caused by human. So, it is very important to analyze the factors related to human life. Increasing GDP gives people more chances to access to forest. Like this, specifying the causes of forest fire related to human is essential for protecting human caused forest fire. In addition, climate change also makes high possibility for fire ignition. Basically spatial distribution information is needed. In this study, “geo-statistical analysis method” was used to find the spatial relations among forest fires and other factors. The climatic data includes temperature, relative-humidity, wind speed and precipitation. Spatial data consists of forest fire occurred coordination, elevation, aspect, slope. Finally, human accessibility data such as population, road width, distance from road, distance from city was prepared.
