Why ArcGIS API for Flex Is the Solution for Us

The 453 Electronic Warfare Squadron Flagging Flight conducts Parametric and Model based flagging
of Signal Intelligence Data to identify new or modified emitter threats.
One of the products of this system is the daily Electronic Order of
Battle report. The flight's engineering section was tasked with
finding a way to take this simple text report and display it on a world
map with a user interface that allows data querying. After an 18 month
investigation into several technologies that could be used;
the section decided on the ArcGIS API for Flex using Adobe Flex Builder
II. They found this technology to be the best compliment to their core
competencies and the best fit for a small programming section with
limited training resources.
This presentation will review the technologies that were investigated,
their pros and cons for the section and why ArcGIS API for Flex was
chosen.
