Lee County, Florida, ArcGIS Server Mobile Damage Assessment Tools
Track: Disaster Management and Emergency Response
Author(s): Amy Hoyt

With the increase in hurricane and tornado activity in Florida, efficient and timely damage assessment has become critical for county response and FEMA reimbursement. Lee County has driven the development of applications for the collection of building damage assessment, human service needs, and signalized intersection damage to be used after a catastrophic event cooperatively by the County and its Incorporated Cities. This session will cover the initial application design in ArcPad, deployment to the Cities, real world beta testing, lessons learned, and the final re-design built using the ArcGIS Mobile SDK, including initial building damage assessment for first responders to support State SERT requirements. If you have ArcGIS Server, this is the way to get the 'state' of your community back to the office ASAP.
