Enterprise Product on Demand Services (ePODS)

The ePODS program is a web service that leverages NGA's investment in geospatial features, SRTM, aeronautical, and maritime information to produce map and chart products that are 'print ready.” ePODS's highly automated capabilities allow NGA to focus more of its resources on data quality, integrity, and currency rather than cartographic product generation. With the help of ePODS, NGA has greatly reduced the time required to produce most maps and charts. Safety of navigation is also significantly improved for both military personnel and civilians with the enhancements in accuracy and timeliness of nautical charts.
