GIS and Military Recruiting
Track: Defense and Intelligence
Authors: John Ross

Through the application of innovative and traditional research, analysis and GIS techniques, military recruiting can gain considerable market awareness using Business Analyst. The outcome of integrating GIS within military recruiting is a force multiplier. The Canadian Forces have innovated their understanding of propensity, selection of locations to open recruiting centres, helping fill hard to recruit occupations and command of recruiting. This presentation will cover prospecting, temporal and spatial analysis of application patterns, site selection, directional propensity and data collection issues.
