AbstractOperating a Water Utility GISTrack: Water, Wastewater, and Storm Water Author Fulton County has recently overhauled the Water Utility GIS. This presentation aims to provide Fulton County's 'lessons learned' about what is required to maintain a GIS that acheives goals set forth by the utility and provide real-world examples of integrating GIS into the organization. Topics will include utilization of multiple data sources, GIS development, GIS workflows, RTK GPS survey, CMMS, and integration of GIS into Administrative Divisions within the Water Utility. Water Utilities are using GIS data for spatial analysis, construction, operational maintenance of the system, and compliance with programs such as CMOM. Information in this presentation is targeted for administrators considering investiments in GIS and GIS professionals seeking alternative solutions to everyday GIS opportunities.
