AbstractInnovative Tactics for Disseminating GIS Information ProductsTrack: Defense and Intelligence Author Beyond the web, what other media or more traditional static (i.e. paper, plastic, vinyl) based options should an organization employ to push GIS information? Obviously the web will continue to be the cornerstone for pushing GIS - but it should only be only one of many 'Information Product' solutions that a robust GIS organization aggressively markets and disseminates. Case studies from the US Army Europe Integrated Training Area Management (ITAM) program will highlight the objectives and approach of a diversified GIS product line. Standard products, ranging from traditional paper maps, plastic raised relief maps, Tyvek field maps, prepackaged ArcExplorer DVD sets, kiosks, and large format touch tables, will be evaluated from the perspective of return on investment and customer feedback.
