AbstractWater Quality Index Mapping Tool for the Kuyalnik LimanTrack: Water Resources Author There was designed the tool for the Water Quality Index (WQI) mapping to meet needs of the environmental monitoring of the Kuyalnik liman area. The Kuyalnik liman is a balneology spa resort of state significance in Ukraine as a recreation resource with unique natural conditions and a fragile ecosystem. The WQI mapping tool is based on the methodology of hydro-chemical index of water pollution. This method of WQI determination commonly used in the Ukraine was proposed by the Committee of Hydrometeorology of the USSR (1986). It represents an average fraction of limits exceeding six parameters, the mandatory ones being: biological oxygen demand, O2 and pH. Other parameters are dependent on research area pollutants. The designed tool combines both processing field water sample analysis results data and spatial interpolating with 3-D analysis of the lake. Anton Sizo University of Redlands 1111 E.
