AbstractGeo-information and Geo-Text-Integration for Emergency Response and Disaster Management Track: Disaster Management and Emergency Response Author The multidisciplinary Safety Region "IJsselland" (fire, police and medical aid) is a frontend user of GIS with a geo-architecture, based on ArcGIS Server. IJsselland has investigated the need for geo-information in emergency response requirements and translated these into a spatial data infrastructure and multiple GIS applications for emergency response. Our slogan is: "As fast as Google Earth but better". IJsselland realized several viewers and applications for daily use as well as for crisis and disaster management. Different aspects and lessons learned will be presented. Although 80% of all information is recognised as spatial information, this 80% is almost only textual visualised. This can be solved by the concept of Geo-Text-Integration. The concept will be presented, together with the results of a Proof Of Concept and the future plans.
