AbstractBuilding an Integrated GIS, Asset Management, and Permitting Solution.Track: Technology Integration Author The city of Suffolk's Public Works Engineering department is responsible for providing plan review services related to stormwater runoff and erosion and sediment control for new development within the City. Additionally, inspection staff is responsible for ensuring that plans are implemented as designed and that all regulations are followed. During the implementation of the city's GIS-based computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) solution that utilizes ArcGIS Server, the city decided to create an integration to their existing Tidemark permitting solution. This integration allows the city's inspection staff to view the geographic location and access active permits details within the CMMS. As a result, Suffolk's inspection staff now has a seamless solution to not only review work orders but also review permitting information from a single set of common interfaces. This presentation will focus on how requirements were defined, how the integration was performed, and the benefits gained from the integration.
