AbstractUnleashing the Power of Data InteroperabilityTrack: Facilities Management Author The University of Massachusetts Campus Planning Division is striving to integrate spatial thinking and technology into its efforts at facilities management throughout the life cycle of its projects from conceptual planning, through design and construction, to operations and maintenance. To do this effectively, the University has been working with many different types and sources of data and has produced a data-focused 3D model of the campus. Esri's Data Interoperability Extension has proven to be a flexible and incredibly powerful tool for integrating these many different data sources into the University's GIS system. This presentation will cover examples of how the Data Interoperability Extension and spatial ETL processes have been used to leverage the University's investments in many different data systems, as well as share examples of other potential uses for this great tool.
