AbstractStation Fire GIS: A Summary Track: Emergency Medical Services/Fire Author The largest wildland fire in Los Angeles County history (250miČ) called for a substantial GIS response to support incident needs. At the height of activity nine GIS Specialists and six plotters worked 24 hours a day to produce over 300 map products every 12 hours for upwards of 5000 personnel. Topics that will be covered include: Information sources and flow, data management, network and facilities setup, product types, and the role of GIS in the Incident Command System. Issues, problems and solutions that arose through-out the course of the incident will be covered for each topic.
