AbstractInnovative Land DevelopmentTrack: Application Development Author The Delaware Department of Transportation's (DelDOT) Development Coordination Section is responsible for reviewing and approving proposed residential and commercial site entrances and the planning, design, construction and acceptance of subdivision streets for maintenance by the State of Delaware. This is a multi-step process that is primarily focused on predicting, analyzing, and remediating the effects of increased vehicular traffic to ensure safety and efficiency. Recognizing that GIS technology is ideally suited to facilitate this process, DelDOT partnered with JMT Technology Group to develop the Planning and Development Coordination Application (PDCA), a GIS-enabled web application built using the ArcGIS Server Flex API. The PDCA provides a powerful set of tools for GIS data creation and analysis in an innovative user-interface and allows users to explore the interrelationships of the GIS data it exposes. This presentation will focus on the unique and challenging requirements and the progressive GIS solution that resulted. Marc Cote Delaware Department of Transportation (DelDOT) 800 Bay Road P.O.
