AbstractGIS for Community Activities: at National University of RwandaTrack: Education Author The GIS and Remote Sensing Centre, created ten years ago supports the development of GIS based education and research at the National University of Rwanda. Its mandated to undertake research in various GIS fields and remote sensing, and teaching to different faculties. However, the GIS Centre builds capacity at different levels and supports the country's development towards a literate society with mapping, information services and education. This paper tracks the centre's most recent GIS activities for the community.
