AbstractGeoBase in the Air National Guard: Lessons Learned for GeoGuardTrack: Defense and Intelligence Author Since 2002, the Air National Guard has taken an 'enterprise' approach to enlisting the benefits of geospatial information resources for the Air National Guard mission. This presentation will describe both the merits and challenges to building an institutional GIS capability in this manner, as well how their lessons learned could be leveraged by the GeoGuard Initiative to further accelerate adoption by the National Guard enterprise. The discussion will also include the innovative process the ANG GIO employed to capture and analyze enterprise wide requirements for geospatial projects, also known as the Geospatial Requirements Definition Process.
