Update on Transportation for the Nation

RITA/BTS, in partnership with the National States Geographic Information Council, is sponsoring a strategic planning effort for the Transportation for the Nation (TFTN) initiative. TFTN refers to the goal of coordinating, developing, and distributing nationally significant transportation data, with particular emphasis on road centerlines. This planning effort, which will be completed by spring of 2011, includes reaching out to stakeholders from all levels of government and the private sector to gather their input on how TFTN should proceed. This presentation will describe the progress that has been made to date.
