The presentation will concentrates on Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS) experience in Using GIS in Statistics.

The presentation will cover the following topics in details: First, advantages of using GIS in the statistical work. Second, utilization of GIS in PCBS in the implementation of many outstanding projects (Statistical Atlas of Palestine, 2004, Web-base Statistical Atlas, Geographic database for the Palestinian Territory, Site for the dissemination of the Population, Housing and Establishment Census data using statistical maps, The Statistical Atlas of Palestine, 2009 and other outputs using GIS). Finally, PCBS Future outlook for utilization of GIS technologies to support relevant functions and develop the previous output projects.
