What's Hurting GIS Websites: Data, Data, & Design!

Throughout the history of GIS, the gathering and displaying of data has been the main hurtles. During the late 20th century, advancing technology and the emergence of GIS importance, has conquered these hurtles. Now current technology allows us to display all the data we have spent years acquiring, but is this ideal? To increase website usage by the general community, GIS analysts must learn how to display our data as information and design websites for those with no GIS background. This requires more than just using the default software settings!
