Los Angeles World Airports Development Group has initiated the CALM (Coordination and Logistics Management) Program. The mission of the CALM program is to minimize passenger service interruption while over $1 billion of terminal upgrades are performed in the LAX central terminal area. The project utilizes ArcGIS Desktop and Server to coordinate both spatial and schedule data to for the numerous projects on the LAX campus. This includes performing spatial and temporal analysis for project managers so that passenger and tenant interruption is reduced. This also provides a cost benefit to both LAX and tenant construction projects by coordinating and preventing construction conflicts and expensive redesign.
