Creating a Safe Zone for Locating a Subsalt Well Location

Abstract
There are many factors to consider when developing subsalt well penetrations. Two important considerations are the avoidance of geologic hazards and penetration of geologic closure. By using simple ArcGIS tools it was possible to exclude zones of high risk and define zones of safe or low risk. This workflow uses the power of Raster Reclassification and the Extract by Attribute tool to easily define show safe areas for locating a subsalt well.
