The implementation of a dedicated GIS server with remote desktop server (RDS)capabilities and utilization of the RemoteApps feature coupled with a site wide license agreement has revolutionized the spatial curriculum offered at a small, 4-year, liberal arts-based institution. Based on the skill sets and knowledge base provided by the UCGIS Body of Knowledge, the curriculum has been established to align with the newly established GTCM in terms of skill sets for the geospatial students. This session presents a case study of how the development of an Applied Geospatial Technologies Program was accomplished through collaboration from several constituencies on campus and dovetails with an entirely online GIS Certificate Program.
