GIS Technology to Property Management at Cesp

With the intention to create a technological database to support the property's occupation around its reservatories, Cesp - Companhia Energética de São Paulo has hired satellite images, GIS software and Esri training through IMAGEM, its official distributor in Brazil. Cesp's reservatories need to accomplish Brazilian regulation which states a constitution of an environmental protection area around the reservatories. The access to the information was not centralized and corporative. Now, GIS is helping the company at the identification and inspection of these illegal occupations, improving the company decision making and minimizing the field work.
