Federal Geographic Data Committee (FGDC) Cultural Resource Work Group
Track: Tribal/Indigenous GIS programs

The work group is led by the National Park Service (NPS) in an effort to create geospatial standards for Federal Agencies. The NPS has around 50+ people in the work group that include several federal and state agencies as well as Tribal entities. The panel will serve as a discussion on how Tribes became involved in the process as well as the potential benefits of this cooperative venture. The panel will open up a dialog in order to disseminate progress to date and get input from the wider Tribal GIS community.
