Abstract

Weaving the NECCOG Parcel Fabric
Track: Cadastral and Land Records
Authors: Mark Goetz

The Northeastern Connecticut Council of Governments (NECCOG) was awarded a Regional Performance Incentive Grant by the Connecticut Office of Policy and Management to create and maintain parcel data for its twelve municipal members. This project started out working with the parcel data as feature classes and a robust set of topology rules. The plan was to create several town parcel datasets and merge them with existing town parcel datasets into a single multi-town parcel feature dataset and feature classes. Mid project, there was a change in plans to migrate to the Parcel Fabric. The presentation will go over the steps, issues and benefits of migrating to the parcel fabric.
