We address when best to select a fast track technique for GIS Census project, and what are the constraints that are required in your project to successfully implement a fast track project management to product accurate and satisfactory results.
This paper lists the expected additional risks when using fast tracking project management that should be estimated and measured during the project's lifecycle,such as, data collection projects like a Census involving both decentralized data collection and centralized analysis and multiple software venders that supply the same project's deliverable.
This paper will also provide guidance on how to apply fast tracking project management techniques to GIS Census projects for best outcomes, how to monitor and track them, highlighting the impacts of fast tracking project on staff, scope, other ongoing projects, on quality of work, and possible cost implications, using real life examples of projects similar to this.
