Abstract

ArcGIS Server Web Application for Asset Performance at Tinker AFB
Track: Facilities Management
Authors: Tim Saldana

Tinker Air Force Base (TAFB) in Oklahoma is one of the world's largest military and industrial complexes. Parsons is working with TAFB to deploy a system that will support informed decision-making about asset disposal and how to optimally invest funds to sustain, restore and maintain existing assets.
The traditional Integrated Workplace Management System (IWMS) solution offers views of data that are 'building centric', showing only the facility of interest. By integrating content from various data sources and leveraging the innate capability of GIS to show a landscape, users can view performance/cost metrics of specific assets from a geospatial context across the installation.
Through a simple point and click mechanism users have access to multiple official data repositories and can view derivative reports combining data from several sources. These blended and derived datasets are the basis of asset cost and performance metrics presented in geospatial, graphical and report context.
