Presentation of advanced navigation system that combines geocoded videos of roads, the road network route planning and rich web GIS application.

First, the user selects the stopovers then the system calculates the optimum route and offers interactive High-Definition video with real-time display of current position on the map. The developed solution extends traditional GIS route planning capabilities and provides the user a realistic view of the road even before he leaves his home/office.

The user can also look at all intersections, measure the width of the road/obstacles in the video and thus ensures the transitivity in case of heavy transport. All these functionalities are available with an internet browser or even mobile device based on windows platform.

The system is based on the ArcGIS Server. It uses ArcGIS Server Network Analyst for optimal route calculation, ArcGIS Silverlight API for mapping and Silverlight Smooth Streaming to deliver seamless High-Definition Video experience.
