Enterprise GIS for FM using BIM & ArcGIS Server

In 2008, City College of San Francisco (CCSF) administration supported the implementation of GIS for facility management. The project has successfully centralized spatial information, made it easy to view and query data, and update and maintain datasets.

This paper discusses the changes and improvements on the CCSF Campus GIS data model, ArcGIS Server applications, and insight into using new technology during the past year. These improvements include the web-based application user-interface, admin reporting tools, and data model. In addition, the use and challenges of integrating mobile LiDAR for 3D scanning point cloud, Revit models and BIM technology into an enterprise GIS.
