GIS platform for Orange Poland

Radio network planning in Orange Poland is based on comprehensive GIS database and tools.
Database includes scanned topographic maps, clutter data, digital terrain models, buildings maps, cities vector plans, roads and railways network, hydrography and forestry maps as well as administrative borders. It covers all area of Poland. GIS tools are necessary for capturing, storing, analyzing, managing, and presenting spatial data. Topology rules are being used in acquiring process to verify data. Geographical and non-geographical data are stored in spatially enabled database and geoprocessing models plays key role in their analyzing an modelling.
All this data in conjunction with radio network element visualization are presented through one website address. It provides reliable geographical data to make accurate network planning, lower capex and better resource allocation. It is also support for marketing analysis like new tariffs planning, hot spots detecting, new points of sales planning, advertising campaign supporting.
