Using Geography as a tool for POTW programs.

Metropolitan Sewer District of Greater Cincinnati (MSDGC)utilizes geography to maximize analysis, investigation, collaboration and management of services to its countywide user and inter-agency customers. Our iPACS pretreatment system collects and manages information related to our POTWs industrial users. This information is often requested by other city/County/State agencies for investigation and problem solving such as environmental impact on surface water or residential customers. Combining our GIS with our iPACS given us a new tool to see a bigger picture to manage our assets and allocate limited resources i.e. less people, less time.
