GIS is in a transition phase since it is moving towards addressing the rapidly growth of GIS application among normal people in everyday life. The existing GIS which are designed based on the expert user perspective are not capable to deal with the commonsense spatial knowledge. Ongoing GIS development has focused on how to mimic human perception in GIS. Understanding the representation of real world in cognitive space is crucial for integrating human perception in GIS as well as designing next generation GIS. This study is about the exploration of commonsense spatial knowledge existed in conservation field and their representation in GIS. Study is base on the commonsense spatial knowledge of Chitwan National Park in Nepal and proposed a framework for addressing spaio-temoral dynamic of conservation phenomenon and their representation in GIS.
