Evaluating change of chemical concentrations in environmental media is a key component of prioritizing and monitoring the effects of remedial efforts at any given site. Whether chemical concentrations continue to rise above regulatory limits or decline, visualizing the analytical data is pivotal in identifying trends over time. Utilizing the time feature in ArcGIS 10 has provided users in the environmental industry with the ability to easily track rate and change in chemical distribution over time. This presentation will provide a case study where the time feature in ArcGIS 10 was utilized to illustrate contaminant concentrations over time, to assist in monitoring effects of ongoing remedial efforts at a site and identify areas where additional remedial action may be necessary.
