Abstract

Bridging the Gap: Integrating Parcel Mapping and CAMA
Track: Cadastral and Land Records
Authors: Amanda Hargis

Santa Fe County wanted to more equitably assess tax parcels, and improve GIS services to the citizens. The County desired to implement a Computer Aided Mass Appraisal (CAMA) system integrated with GIS-based parcel editing to improve data interoperability and relationships and increase staff's ability to accommodate the County's increasing workload.

The County uses a combination of CAMA software, ArcGIS Server, ArcMap and Sidwell's Parcel Builder, along with a custom 'Bridge Map' to easily move between mapped data and assessment data in Ascend, a Manatron application.
