Abstract

Statewide Imagery QC steps from Beginning to End
Track: Imagery
Authors: Gary Thompson

North Carolina has collected orthophotography for the entire state this year. There were a significant number of acquisition teams used for this project. To make sure that all of the collections were consistant and all of the data collected met expectations, multiple levels of QC were put into place from the beginning to assure the final deliverables are of the best quality and meet all of the standards for this project.
This presentation will cover the different areas of QC done for this project. This project began with a validation range to check the accuracy of senson in flight, Aerial Triangulation was QC'ed, visual QC to assure expectations, and a field QC done for horizontal accuracy. All of this quality control was done throughout the project to make sure that the specifications of the project were met from beginning to end. ArcGIS was used throughout the process to assess information.
