311 Apps: Making Citizens a Part of the Sensor Network
Track: Public Works
Authors: Tony de la Sota, James Richards, Kurt Daradics, Sal Genito

Citizens have become powerful sources of volunteered geographic information thanks to a new breed of mobile and web apps. By engaging citizens through 311 apps, governments can save time and money while also improving accountability to those they govern. The result is a positive, collaborative platform for real action.

Kurt Daradics from CitySourced, James Richards from Artisan Global, and (insert client name here) will share their experiences and lessons learned from deploying a successful 311 app. Best practices for working with the Esri mobile and web APIs will also be discussed.

(NOTE: As discussed in our emails with Michelle Fox, we will determine which client will present with us at a later date.)
