Geography is increasingly becoming an intergral part of insurance decision-making. Spatial datasets represent insured assets and the natural hazards which create the destructive forces that drive insurance losses and claims.

This presentation decribes an web GIS platform allowing portfolios of insured assets can be visualised anywhere across the globe. The platform takes forecasted tropical cyclone wind speeds and identifies those insured assets that may be affected. Insured exposures can be downloaded to facilitate offline analysis and decision-making such as mitigation strategies, contacting policy holders or mobilisation of loss adjusters.
