GeoGuard Architecture and Process Management - A Way Ahead

The GeoGuard initiative is organized around four domains; Requirements, Process Management, Community and Sustainment. GeoGuard principles are deeply rooted in DoD mandates and industry best practices for the use of portfolio management and architecture-driven IT and GI&S capability management. The GeoGuard Process Management domain presents a series of goals, objectives and tasks to satisfy these mandates and to leverage these best practices to achieve the GeoGuard mission and target capabilities. This presentation will introduce how GeoGuard Process Management can enable portfolio management and architectural principles to enable discovery, sharing and alignment of existing innovations as well as establish a standards-based (not standardized) approach to geographic information and services (GI&S) capability integration for National Guard missions.
